Welcome to Terms 3 and 4
'The Invention of Hugo Cabret'
This term we are using the book 'The Invention of Hugo Cabret' by Brian Selznick as a driver for our learning. The story is about an orphan, clock keeper and thief - Hugo Cabret. The books follows his life as he begins to uncover precious secrets - a cryptic drawing, a stolen key, a mechanical man and a hidden message from his father.
This unit of work will focus on inventions and significant turning points within history. We will also explore geographical aspects such as: similarities and differences between England and Paris and looking at human and physical geographical features.
Autumn Term 2024-25
Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door
We enjoyed a great day visiting Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Thankfully the sun was shining and we were able to see all the coastal formations we have been learning about in our geography lessons.
Coastal Formations
In our geography lessons, we have been exploring coastal erosion. We used cake to model coastal formations.
